Some additions:
1. Make it easier to become a member of a group, and click on a group to see who is in the group. It was unclear to me how to do this. Maybe it is an automatic setting from the demographics you include?
2. Add private messaging to profiles where users can have a mailbox and see a list of people to message.

Another good change to groups would be to let people create new ones. I don't think I fit into any of the existing ones.
